Ryan Switzer

Ryan Switzer is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an honours Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance. In addition, Ryan has studied classical composition and music theory at both the Faculty of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Ryan has taught extensively, both during his university career and afterwards. He works well with students of any age or playing level. For the last six years, he has been teaching at the Eli Kassner Guitar Academy.

Apart from his classical endeavors Ryan has spent the past two years performing and recording with various independent Toronto-based bands, and is currently performing with fellow TSS faculty David Stone in their group, Nor Reason. These ventures have given him the opportunity to play at some of Toronto's largest venues as well as appear on many recordings, most notably one on international record label Sony/BMG.
