Chris Peterson

Chris Peterson

Chris Peterson earned a Bachelor of Music Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Guitar Performance from the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. There he studied with notable professors Scott Tarulli, Julien Kasper, John Baboian, Bret Willmott and Joe Stump. Chris also holds a Diploma in Jazz Studies from Camosun College in Victoria, B.C.

Chris has been teaching guitar and bass since 2002. He enjoys teaching students of all ages and skill levels, and is comfortable with all styles, from rock to jazz; classical to blues. "My number one priority with every student is to make music fun for them, and to tailor my approach to each student's musical interests and goals. While theory is important, I also encourage students to bring me recordings done by their favourite artists, so I can teach them what they really want to learn."
